TATTOO FAQ

  • The cost of a tattoo depends on several factors, including:

    • Size and Complexity: Larger and more detailed designs will require more time, which can increase the price. Some areas of the body are also more time consuming to tattoo which will factor into pricing.

    • Artist: Rates vary based on the artist.

We have a minimum charge of £60 for set up; this means a tiny tattoo or detail that takes under an hour, for anything else we charge an hourly rate unless the piece is priced previously by your artist, (e.g a flash or discounted design) Our hourly rate ranges from £70/£100 hour.

To get a quote for your tattoo online, we have an enquiry form to get you started with explaining the details of your design that you can find here. This form will be directed to your artist or the studio who will follow on with quote discussions and get you booked in.

For a more in depth and accurate quote, we recommend scheduling a consultation where we can discuss your design, placement, and other details. This can give you a clearer idea of what your tattoo will cost and entail and can help you plan for your tattoo investment.

  • Yes, we do! Consultations are a great way to discuss your tattoo ideas, ask questions, and collaborate with your chosen artist. During the consultation, you can:

    • Share your design concept, references, and placement ideas.

    • Discuss size, color, and style preferences.

    • Get a cost estimate and time frame for your tattoo.

    • Learn about the tattooing process and aftercare.

Consultations can be done in person, over the phone, or virtually, depending on your preference. To book a consultation, simply contact us via phone, email, or our website. We’ll guide you through the process and ensure your tattoo turns out exactly as you envision!

  • Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring your own design, and we will tailor and adapt it to make it tattoo-ready, and unique. We are also happy to tattoo your own drawings or writing and will assist in ensuring that the piece will be suitable as a tattoo.

If you don’t have a design but have an idea in mind, our talented artists specialize in creating custom pieces tailored just for you.

    Here’s how it works:

    1. For Your Own Design: Bring a clear image of your design (digital or printed), and we’ll discuss placement, size, and any adjustments needed.

    2. For Custom Work: Share your concept, references, and style preferences during a consultation or in an email discussion, and your artist will then craft a unique design that matches your vision.

We believe every tattoo should be personal and meaningful, so whether you have a design in hand or need help bringing your idea to life, we’ve got you covered!

  • Taking proper care of your new tattoo is essential for healing and maintaining its quality. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

    1. Leave the Wrap On: Keep the plastic wrap on for around 1-4 hours after getting your tattoo, as advised by your artist. Make sure to wash your hands with antibacterial soap before removing this protective layer.

    2. Clean Your Tattoo Gently: Wash your tattoo gently with lukewarm water only on the first wash. in the days following the tattoo can be washed normally but only with a mild and unscented soap, avoid using ANY FRAGRANCED or scented soaps / products as they may cause irritation. Avoid any scrubbing and always use light hands when caring for your tattoo.

    3. Allowing it to dry: Always allow the tattoo to completely dry out before moisturising. This prevents moisture being trapped into the tattoo which can cause irritation or infection. AIR DRY or pat dry with a clean paper towel. Never dry using a fabric towel for risk of bacteria / fibers.

    4. Moisturize: After cleaning/ drying, and using clean washer hands, apply a thin layer of tattoo-specific aftercare ointment or fragrance-free lotion. We recommend palmers cocoa butter, but talk to your artist about other products you may use or want to use to ensure their safety in your healing process. Don’t over-apply your moisturiser a little goes a long way, but you may reapply when the tattoo is feeling dry or itchy.

    5. Avoid Picking or Scratching: As your tattoo heals, it may itch or peel. Do not scratch, pick, or peel the scabs, as this can cause scarring or fading. Instead with clean hands reapply a small amount of your chosen moisturiser.

    6. Keep It Clean and Dry: Avoid soaking your tattoo in water (no swimming, hot tubs, or saunas) for at least 2-4 weeks.(until all the scabbing has finished)

    7. Avoid Sun Exposure: Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight during the healing process. Once healed, always apply sunscreen to protect the brightness of the design.

    8. Wear Loose Clothing: Avoid tight clothing or anything that may rub against your tattoo.

    9. Be Patient: Healing can take 2-3 weeks for the outer layer of skin and up to several months for the deeper layers.

If you notice signs of infection (such as redness, swelling, or pus), or if you have any concerns during the healing process, contact your tattoo artist. Proper aftercare ensures your tattoo heals beautifully and lasts for years!

  • Yes, we use vegan-friendly inks and supplies for all our tattoos, ensuring they are free from animal by-products such as glycerin or bone char. Our vegan inks are high-quality, vibrant, and safe for your skin.

If you have any specific concerns or preferences, please let us know when booking your appointment.

  • The cost of a piercing depends on the type of piercing and the jewellery you choose. Generally, our piercing prices range from £30 to £80, with jewellery costs varying based on material (e.g., titanium, gold, etc.).

The price includes the initial piercing jewellery, but higher-end or custom jewelry may be priced separately. If you have a specific piercing in mind, feel free to contact us for an exact quote.

You can view our price list here.

Remember, we prioritize quality and safety, and our experienced piercer will ensure you get the best experience possible!

  • For initial piercings, we use high-quality, ASTM-F136 Implant grade titanium that is body safe and suitable for healing. Our standard jewellery materials include:

    • Titanium: A highly recommended material for initial piercings, as it is lightweight, durable, and biocompatible, making it ideal for healing.

    • 14k Gold: For those seeking a more luxurious option, we also offer implant-grade 14k gold jewelry for initial piercings.

We ensure that all jewellery used for initial piercings is free from harmful alloys like nickel and meets industry standards for safety and comfort. If you have a specific preference or need, let us know, and we’ll help find the best option for you!

  • To ensure a smooth and comfortable piercing experience, here’s how to prepare:

    1. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your appointment to help your body stay relaxed and heal properly.

    2. Eat a Meal: Have a good meal before your appointment to maintain your energy levels, as some people can feel lightheaded during or after a piercing.

    3. Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Refrain from drinking alcohol, caffeine, or taking aspirin/ibuprofen at least 24 hours before your piercing. These can increase bleeding and make the process harder on your body.

    4. Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose clothing that allows easy access to the area being pierced (e.g., a loose shirt for nipple or navel piercings).

    5. Bring a Valid ID: We require a photo ID to verify your age. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must be present to sign a consent form.

    6. Be Prepared for Aftercare: Make sure you’re familiar with aftercare instructions, and be ready to follow them once you leave the studio.

    7. Avoid Heavy Exercise: If possible, avoid intense physical activity right before or after your piercing appointment to reduce the risk of swelling or irritation.

If you have any specific concerns or medical conditions, please inform us before your appointment, so we can provide the best care possible.

  • Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure your piercing heals well and stays infection-free. Here’s how to care for your new piercing:

    1. Clean Gently: Clean your piercing with a saline solution as directed by your piercer. Avoid using harsh chemicals like alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, which can irritate the skin.

    2. Avoid Touching: Do not touch your piercing with dirty hands. Always wash your hands thoroughly before cleaning or handling your piercing.

    3. Leave the Jewellery In: Keep the initial jewelry in place during the healing process. Changing it too soon can lead to irritation or infection.

    4. Avoid Sleeping on the Piercing: Try not to sleep on your piercing, especially in the first few weeks, to avoid irritation or pressure.

    5. No Swimming or Soaking: Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, or lakes until your piercing is fully healed, as they can introduce bacteria.

    6. Don’t Twist or Turn Jewellery: Twisting or turning the jewelry can irritate the piercing and delay healing. Let it heal naturally.

    7. Watch for Signs of Infection: While some swelling, redness, or tenderness is normal, signs of infection include excessive redness, pus, or pain. If you experience these, contact your piercer or a healthcare professional.

    8. Avoid Makeup or Hair Products on Facial Piercings: For nose, eyebrow, or other facial piercings, keep makeup, lotions, or hair products away from the area until it's healed.

Healing times vary depending on the piercing, but most piercings take between 6-8 weeks to fully heal. Always follow your piercer’s aftercare advice for the best results!

  • We only use needles for all of our piercings. Needle piercings are safer, more precise, and cause less trauma to the tissue compared to piercing guns. Using a needle creates a clean hole with minimal damage, promoting faster healing and reducing the risk of infection or complications.

Piercing guns, on the other hand, can crush or damage the tissue, which can lead to longer healing times and increased risk of complications. For your safety and comfort, we always use single-use, sterile needles for a clean and professional piercing experience.
